About TEDI Games
A student organisation from the Theory of Digital Games programme at FMK UCM Trnava. We started as a game studio in 2015. Today we organise jams and help student teams get their games out.
Where we come from
It started with one person and one idea. Dalibor Bartoš, a programmer and later the Unreal Engine teacher on the Theory of Digital Games (TEDI) programme at FMK UCM Trnava, wanted to make games with students in 2015, not just lecture about them. The name is borrowed from the programme's acronym, with a silent H.
A crew quickly formed around him and went jamming together: Bratislava Game Jam, Global Game Jam, LAG in Cieszyn, Fest Anča, Comics Salón. Weekend prototypes turned into the first awards, and the crew turned into a registered civic association that started organising jams itself, first for FMK students, then for the whole of Trnava.
Today TEDI Games is led by Dominika Kimličková, 3D artist from team Red Spark, who walked the whole road from a student jam through Game Jam+ to the Steam demo of Tartaros. Under her lead the association is turning from a studio into an organisation that helps student teams do the same.

What we do now
TEDI Games is changing from a studio into a student organisation and publisher. The games are no longer made only by us but mostly by student teams, and we give them support:
- Events: regular game jams at FMK UCM, the Global Game Jam site in Trnava, themed jams for beginners and research jams.
- Festival: FNURIK, every August at Zelený Kríček, where local indie games are exhibited as art, since 2025.
- Acceleration: Game Jam+ Slovakia, a six-month programme with mentoring and a world final.
- Publishing: help with grants (Slovak Arts Council), Steam and itch.io pages, marketing and festival showcases.
- Community: contacts in the Slovak games industry, a portfolio and references for students.
